How does buy now pay later with humm work?

When it comes to purchases, humm understands that life is filled with the little things you need to buy but also the bigger things - like a white gold engagement ring, for example. So they’ve split their payment plans into these two categories to make it as simple as possible.

‘Little things’

For purchases up to $2,000, you get to choose whether you want to make fortnightly repayments in lots of 5 or 10 - so that means you have 2.5 months or 5 months* to pay it off! Which is quite a bit longer than other buy now, pay later models.

‘Big things’

When you head in-store to Shiels, you’ll be able to apply for anything up to $10,000 to help with those bigger jewellery purchases. Similar to the smaller things, you can still choose the repayment period - for example, 6, 12 or 24 months… and even extend it up to 60 months.

With both of these options, as long as you pay it off within the agreed amount of time, they remain interest free. However, there is also the option to extend the payment schedule beyond the original agreement for a small fee every month.
